Doing Our Best
Doing Our Best is exactly what it sounds like. Nora Mae and Roger Weeks are two artists — singer-songwriters trying to make sense of art, life, and everything in between — and this is what it sounds like when they stop working and just talk. Pull up a seat on the couch: TV, film, pop culture, spirituality, whatever's on their minds that week. No format, no plan, just two friends doing their best.

We love Episode 3! We are doing our best, as always, this time at not being reactive and at reconnecting with our routines. We're talking about the songs currently stuck in our heads, our content creation journeys, manifesting our dream sponsorships for the pod. And it's 'CHAOS' release week!

Doing my best. Yow. That one that was good. Hi, besties. Woot, woot, woot.
SPEAKER_01Welcome back.
SPEAKER_03Welcome back to the pod.
SPEAKER_01Episode three. I'm really proud of us.
SPEAKER_03No, I was thinking in my head before we started filming, like the pod feels real now.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Now that we're going viral.
SPEAKER_03Yes. It's so crazy. We have our first, like, oh, you have some food in your teeth. Okay, it's gone. Really? Yep. That was incredible. I got it. Yeah. But it's so serendipitous that on the eve of episode three, we we have our first, like, post that's doing well.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. It's really exciting. It's going viral. It's going viral to us. To us. We're about to viral life. It's viral to me. It is viral to me.
SPEAKER_03And it's that we have to keep talking about heated rivalry. So whenever we talk about heated ri rivalry, we go like kind of viral in the fandom. Triple plot. But it's also because it's authentic to us.
SPEAKER_01Well, we're always talking about it, so why wouldn't we be talking about it on the podcast?
SPEAKER_03Right.
SPEAKER_01And it's it's honestly my favorite show. Yeah. We still have to watch Sterling Point, is the new foray that everyone keeps telling us to take. Okay.
SPEAKER_03Follow us, because I also heard we have to be saying that. Because it's a follow us world run by the algorithm, Little Miss Algo. Helps us so much get the pod in front of other people when you sewed or like share it with your friend or follow us. Me not knowing like the proper terms. But like we're new. We're new. But thank you. If you do any of those things, it means the world to us.
SPEAKER_01Had a couple people lately tell me that they've been listening to the podcast.
SPEAKER_03Me too.
SPEAKER_01Makes me so happy.
SPEAKER_03It was like definitely the talk of the engagement party I went to this weekend.
SPEAKER_01So why not so that's a perfect segue. Why don't you tell us about tell us about your weekend?
SPEAKER_03Well, before I do that, I just want to say Sterling Point.
SPEAKER_01Oh yeah.
SPEAKER_03Like, follow us and stay tuned.
SPEAKER_01We'll start recapping it.
SPEAKER_03Because we're gonna start watching it and talking about it.
SPEAKER_01Oh, I guess it's not really a recap thing because it's not. Is it episodic? No, it's all out.
SPEAKER_03No. We'll have binge.
SPEAKER_01Is it Amazon Prime? I know nothing.
SPEAKER_03Okay.
SPEAKER_01Other than I keep seeing it being fed to me on TikTok as like we have to watch it.
SPEAKER_03Stay tuned. We're gonna watch it and read it. We're gonna watch it. And just react to it. Yeah. Yeah. And I also want to talk more about heated rivalry. Well, we will naturally just because of how often we do. And so I only want to talk about heated rivalry. He's going for another viral clip. I'm going for another viral clip. Come on, by Roger Weeks. Yeah, how are you feeling?
SPEAKER_01It's release week.
SPEAKER_03Guys, my song comes out this week on Friday.
SPEAKER_01I'm so sad I'm not gonna be here Friday night.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, Nora May's not gonna be here Friday night to celebrate my release.
SPEAKER_01But I'll be here Thursday night when it actually comes out.
SPEAKER_03You should be here Thursday night when it does actually come out.
SPEAKER_05So you just you just saved yourself there.
SPEAKER_03You just saved you're right. Thursday night if in music release world guys.
SPEAKER_04I'm very excited.
SPEAKER_03Yes, I'm very excited. I'm feeling a lot of things. I'm not now I'm anxious about the shows I have coming in the fall. Um because they're big crowds. And tell the pod. Yeah, so I'm I'm opening for this artist named Simmel in Winnipeg, Canada, um, Minneapolis, Minnesota, right? Yep. Yeah. Like Minneapolis is in Minnesota, um, and Chicago, Illinois. So if you live in any of those towns, I would love, love, love to see you. Um, and I'm just nervous because I haven't performed in a while and I have a lot of rehearsing to do.
SPEAKER_00All fair.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_00But you're gonna, it's gonna be great, and you do have time.
SPEAKER_03And I do have time, and at the same time, like I'm also I have anxiety, so there's also just that aspect in gen. And so I guess I'm maybe debating now if I want to hire a guitarist to come with me, because that would lower some of the accompanying yourself. Um, but then a part of the nice wanna just accompany myself.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, you know, I just think it's nice to have someone on stage with you.
SPEAKER_03Piano is like my number one instrument. I'm good enough at guitar where like I could do it. Yeah, and I also know how to play where I'm like spotlighting my voice and I don't overplay, you know? Nope. Nope. But I I would be nervous.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. I would be less nervous if I had someone accompanying me.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I think it's just also nice to have someone's someone else's energy on stage with you, someone to look to when there's a moment.
SPEAKER_03And and when I am performing, like I love to just be in the singing.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. You know, and not just like Yeah, you get to focus on your voice and not have to think so much about oh, like get if you get lost in the moment and then kind of forget where you're going on the guitar because it's not what you're proficient at, like your voice is. Yeah. I I feel the same way.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. And also the scary thing about performing, just being vulnerable right now, and about being a touring artist or an artist who's scheduling shows in the future, is that our performances are so dependent on our health, how we feel inside physically, and it's just life. So, like, who knows if you're gonna get like a cold or allergies or your voice is gonna be hoarse one day. You know what I mean? So there's always like those kind of what if anxiety bits that I have of like a fixed date on the calendar, and then your body isn't fixed, it's a fluid.
SPEAKER_01Well, that's why we just we take care of ourselves, but we can't be stuck in what if we are sick. We just have to be so excited about having the opportunity. And you will sound great. Even if you had a cold, even if you had allergies, yeah, you will still sound great. Yeah, people will still live for the songs, they will still like your performance in your presence. It's not all just about your voice. No, you know, performing is mostly about the presence that you have.
SPEAKER_03I mean, if like if I'm maybe I should maybe we should just do the pod. And you don't sing anymore?
SPEAKER_01I love it. Opening doing our best pod. Doing our best pod is opening for Simola in Chicago. I think I'm gonna be at the Chicago show. I'm very excited. I'm so excited. I cannot wait.
SPEAKER_03And it's so weird, like one of our best friends is being honored for her career in Chicago at the same time. Literally the night before. So we can all be together as like a friend group in Chicago.
SPEAKER_01It's nuts.
SPEAKER_03Like, I'm playing this show at a really cool venue. The universe is Alia Hall. It's really cool. Oh, I have to look back. And like, and then G, our friend G, is gonna have like the sick part. Like, it's like, and then we're just like taking over Chicago.
SPEAKER_01Universe, yeah. Love you, Chicago. She's being honored by our uh celebrated by architectural digest, and it does it so random that it ended up in Chicago. She doesn't even have any projects there.
SPEAKER_03So crazy.
SPEAKER_01And none of us, like nobody lives there. We don't none of us live there.
SPEAKER_03And she just texts us and she's like, um, when's Rogers show?
SPEAKER_01So crazy. I love when the universe does stuff like that. I know. It's very cool.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, how are you?
SPEAKER_01I'm good. Yeah. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03I feel like we're so in our content brain.
SPEAKER_01As we said, I don't remember on what episode at this point. We are posting.
SPEAKER_03We are in our creator era.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, we've been posting. We're in our posting, we're in our content creation era.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Um we have been a big content house.
SPEAKER_03We started a podcast.
SPEAKER_01We literally started a podcast and we've been a big content house. We've been posting, posting, posting. And how are you feeling about it? I know that we were we're feeling a little down about it last time, I think.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. Well, now that we have this viral heated rivalry post, uh You're feeling much better. It's really kind of like hitting the serotonin in my brain. Um, I'm feeling like my spam account does better than my main. Like that's been like my brain's been my brain today.
SPEAKER_01I feel like that's what a lot of people say. It's when they start another account that they end up with.
SPEAKER_03No, I literally like posted two similar videos today. I mean, granted, the videos were different, but the hook was the same. Same and I posted it on my main and it was like and then I I posted it on my spam and it had like 30 likes in 15 minutes.
SPEAKER_00Wow.
SPEAKER_03Which, you know.
SPEAKER_00Viral.
SPEAKER_03Viral.
SPEAKER_00Well, okay, but that's good. We're not studying.
SPEAKER_01We're students at the algorithm. Yes, that was good.
SPEAKER_03Yes, and we're studying and learning. At the beginning of last week or middle of last week, we did a shoot for me. Oh, yes. And we just did like this different style of video for me, which is like called the lip sync video. Where you like lip sync your song and like wear a cute outfit and you like walk around outside and you know, also made famous by the artist Jamie Miller.
SPEAKER_01I would say not made famous.
SPEAKER_03I don't know. It's the song of the summer.
SPEAKER_01No, the song of the summer, he did not make that style of video famous.
SPEAKER_03We have to keep this in. We have to keep this in. We're clipping this.
SPEAKER_01Song of the summer. He did not make that he did not make that famous.
SPEAKER_03Jamie Miller invented the lip sync video.
SPEAKER_01He keeps being like, I need to get my JV Miller headphones.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. Also put your your oh no, it's just your mic. I was like, I thought your knees were casting a shadow on your lips. It's your mic.
SPEAKER_01Okay, good.
SPEAKER_03This is a darker lighting episode.
SPEAKER_01It's darker than I'm than I'm used to. It's darker than I'm comfortable with.
SPEAKER_03We got to the pod later in the day than usual.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, than we expected. Yeah. Episode three. Episode three. Also, like, what time is it? Is it already sunsetting?
SPEAKER_047.20.
SPEAKER_01It's unsetting. It feels like it's kind of early. I mean, yeah, but it feels like it's kind of early. That feels like a fall indicator, which I don't love.
SPEAKER_03Oh, fall is like.
SPEAKER_01No.
SPEAKER_03It it's here. I'm not interested. Okay.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Okay. Okay. It's hot. It was like a hundred.
SPEAKER_03It is hot, but but vibe-wise, it's fall is here.
SPEAKER_01I feel like it's just because of the rain. Yes. Is what I'm choosing to believe.
SPEAKER_03Um, so we did these made famous by Jamie Miller lip sync videos.
SPEAKER_01You with your headphones being like, I need my Jamie Miller headphones. Headphones.
SPEAKER_03Oh, I was like, where's Jamie's headphones?
SPEAKER_01I was like, he did not invent wearing these headphones.
SPEAKER_03And you're right. I've seen that video like I've ever. It's like totally.
SPEAKER_00But he did a great job at it.
SPEAKER_03But what I will say, what I will say, I loved it. Yeah, of course. I loved like I loved making them. Yeah. Versus, like honestly, more than even posting them. I loved making them. Yeah, they're fun. And I like thinking about future ones because it's easy. It was go for a walk and I can and I'm just thinking about like what I want to wear. Yep. And what I want to do. Yep. And different hooks that I want to use. And so it's it's keeping me on track and it's added a content pillar.
SPEAKER_00Content pillars. Content pillars.
SPEAKER_03As an indie artist, we need our content pillars. Yep. And so I'm going for like lip sync. I'm going for like lyric edits. And then I'm going for kind of like um lo-fi quick content with text on screen. Love. And then maybe one of those will get my songs. I mean, we are blow blowing up. We're blowing up.
SPEAKER_05Just you wait.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_01But yeah, chaos. August 14th, Friday.
SPEAKER_05August this Friday, my song, chaos.
unknownAh!
SPEAKER_03I'm just excited for it to be out. Yeah. And for it to be kind of like in um release mode.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. It'll get the ball rolling.
SPEAKER_03I want I want the ball rolling. I'm ready.
SPEAKER_01Yep. I feel that.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_01What are you doing your best at?
SPEAKER_03What am I doing my best at? Um I am doing my best at.
SPEAKER_01Are you struggling not to say posting?
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_01This is all we're doing. This is all we're doing.
SPEAKER_03Um, I am doing my best at not reacting impulsively and taking time to like think things through instead of just reacting.
SPEAKER_01I love that.
SPEAKER_03And so I've been doing a lot of reacting just like in my head.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. And how is that feeling?
SPEAKER_03I kind of like the feeling of like, and this is because I'm 32 and so I'm and I'm a man, so I'm finally like, I have a have an adult brain, like to the best of my ability.
SPEAKER_01Frontal lobe developed.
SPEAKER_03Um, and it's nice because then I can kind of like really decide how I'm going to react to something. And someone actually the other day called me like a graceful human being, someone who knows me very well and knows shit that I've been through. And I was like, I love that. And that's what I'm like also just to trying to do my best at is like being in continuing that of being like a graceful human being in the face of chaos. I love it. In the face of being uh stressed, you know, overworked, overloaded, overcommitted, also just because I'm a passionate person. But and I and I have ambitions and whatever, but yeah, I don't know. There's this weekend I went home for an engagement party and it was a lot of family time and a lot of like friends who are like family as well. And yeah, there's like a few comments that like came up where I was like, I just felt reactive because it was about something that triggered me, you know? And I just held my tongue and it was all and it was all good.
SPEAKER_01I love that. That's not easy to do. No, but it comes with time and doing the work, yeah. And not being reactive is great. Yeah, like it's hard, but once you we learn it, yeah, it's f it's always for the best.
SPEAKER_03And it's kind of freeing.
SPEAKER_01Oh, it's so freeing to be like, I don't have to like I can just react to this. I don't have to react. Like I can decide, I can sit with it and then decide if I want to react to it.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, thank you.
SPEAKER_01Congrats! Thank you so much.
SPEAKER_03That's growth, yeah.
SPEAKER_01That's big growth, yeah. That's really hard to do.
SPEAKER_03I know, I know. And we'll we'll name them, tell them what they said. I'm actually gonna use an example. Okay, and I don't I don't it's my one of my best friends, Amanda, and we love Amanda. You have you've met Amanda once or twice. Yeah. Um, and she made this comment we were really drunk, and we were at this bar in my hometown of Manchester, New Hampshire, and home of Adam Sandler. And um notably, who's also his brother, was my grandma's neighbor for years. I ran into him once and um introduced myself, and he asked to take a photo with me because he was like, You went to central high school. It girls the it girls at central high school. Um, so we're at this, we're at this um this this bar called the goat, and it is a scene, okay? One of my favorite bars in Manch, but we had been at my friend's engagement party for hours before that. My friend Sam, who got engaged, she was just telling me that she was sad that I couldn't go spend the day on the lake the day before. And I just had so much work to do, and I was like really stressed, and so I said, like, I'm so sorry, and I'm I have so much FOMO and I wish I could be there, but like I can't do the lake day on Thursday. Yeah, and she was like, I'm really sad, and then Amanda was like, Why didn't you go? And I was just like telling her, like, because I'm stressed and I have like a lot to do, the work is piling up. And Amanda and she was just like, Do you have a therapist? And I was like, excuse me, of like it was just like kind of like it like was just like very like out of the blue. Yeah. And she didn't mean it, I think, in how it sounded. No. But I to and and how and how I took it, which was like yeah, like and I was still pretty tipsy, and I was like, Yeah, I do. Like, yeah.
SPEAKER_01Instead of being like, yeah.
SPEAKER_03Yes. When she said it to me, like I was like, in my head.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_03But it didn't like didn't come out. It didn't come out. But you just think you can know when you react to something, it like hits a trigger in you or something. And I was like, in my head, I was like, that's gross.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Blast Amanda. Blast Amanda. Put Amanda, put Amanda on blast.
SPEAKER_03Okay. What are you doing your best at?
SPEAKER_01And you just start like coming prepared with these, I guess. I kind of like not. Like raw dog in it. Yeah. Um, what am I doing my best at?
SPEAKER_04Doing our best. Doing our best.
SPEAKER_01I'm doing my best at reconnecting with my routine.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Which includes more of my like spiritual practice too. Like I've gotten better. I'm doing my best at reconnecting with journaling and meditating and speaking things into existence, like manifestation. Yeah. And I it that I'm doing yeah, that's what that's what I'm up to.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I feel like we haven't really we used to do so much manifesting and witchcraft. And and I still we haven't done it nearly as much as we used to.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, and I that that like I I just kind of got off of my routine because I have my daily routine that I would do every day no matter what. And I just kind of got off of it consistently the last few months after the move. And yeah, I've been like reconnecting with it the last week.
SPEAKER_03Well, and I also think there was a point where we were like, we're doing this too much.
SPEAKER_01The witchcraft stuff sometimes Yeah. Well, that was why I was sometimes I'd be like, You guys can't do it. I'm gonna sit here and do anything.
SPEAKER_03Me and our friend Maddie, we were just manifesting constantly. And honestly, I think it works.
SPEAKER_01Well, we are manifesting constantly, but we were I'm like, I think it works. We were, I think, putting a little bit too much stock into these rituals that we were doing. Totally. Not as if they're I was in an OCD spiral. Yes. And we were doing that a lot, but my personal practice, this not separate from that, I kind of got away from. I just have gotten off of my routine. Yeah. And I've been sometimes I've been doing it at night, sometimes I don't do it, sometimes I skip it, sometimes I start later than I would want to. And I've been getting off of that the last few months. Yeah. Or I've gotten off of my routine of doing it the last few months, and I really love my routine. Yeah. And also just feel like I it feeled much more connected to my sense of self and higher power, spirituality. Morning routine back. And I just I wanted to I've been I've been a lot better this past week of getting back into it.
SPEAKER_03Um, morning routine. I need one and I think I know how to start. I love that. I need a coffee machine.
SPEAKER_01Well, we have one.
SPEAKER_03No, no, no. We have a K-cut machine.
SPEAKER_01Which not like I don't drink coffee, so it's not my bag.
SPEAKER_03But I want a coffee maker.
SPEAKER_01Okay. What kind of thinking?
SPEAKER_03If you make coffee makers. Comment. Call us.
SPEAKER_01Nespresso will give you our email. No. Send us a DM.
SPEAKER_03If you want to send us a coffee maker, comment below. We will post about it. Send us a DM. I would never like if you send me a coffee maker, I won't shut up about it.
SPEAKER_05I believe that. And if you want to include it, it's a very good investment for you. If you want for you. I want a really nice coffee maker. Give us, give it to us. Thank you. Thank you.
SPEAKER_03We'll be the best brand ambassadors that you can have.
SPEAKER_05I just said I don't drink coffee. If you send some decaf cups, I could do that.
SPEAKER_03If you send us a coffee maker, she will drink coffee again and I won't shut up about it.
SPEAKER_01I will like, I would love decaf.
SPEAKER_03We can get her decaf.
SPEAKER_01I think that if you can send me some decaf coffee, if you are an enough you're an Brooks and Decker, is that what it's called? Uh something like that.
SPEAKER_03Also, I really think this knee is casting a shadow on your face.
SPEAKER_01I think it's my microphone.
unknownI don't know.
SPEAKER_01It's my knee. I'm just so glad. Episode three. Episode three.
SPEAKER_05If you send us a free coffee maker, we will not chat about it.
SPEAKER_03It would be a great partner show.
SPEAKER_01Oh my god, we're in an A24 indie movie. I know, we really do look like it. I know. Speaking of A24. Speaking of A24 indie movie, even though it's not A24, rewatching my old ass the other night.
SPEAKER_03Oh yeah. I don't know if I can talk about it.
SPEAKER_01Which I totally get. All I want to say is that if you haven't seen that movie, it's on Amazon Prime. I would say that it is worth watching. It's such a beautiful message about how you shouldn't rush try and rush time, wish away time and just like live in the Present and love the people around you and don't take anything for granted. I just highly recommend. I would say that if you are like me, get ready to cry really, really hard.
SPEAKER_03And me.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. We were well, we saw it in the theater and it was traumatized. Blah blah blah. Bad news.
SPEAKER_03Bad news. I was heaving, shaking.
SPEAKER_01I've never cried harder at a movie theater in your adult life. In my adult life. Like in the sitting in the in the cinema, I've never cried that hard. In the cinema. In the cinema, I've never cried that hard.
SPEAKER_03In a world.
SPEAKER_01In a world. Or Nora and Roger.
SPEAKER_03Go to see my old ass.
SPEAKER_01In theaters with their AMC Stubbs members.
SPEAKER_03They had a meltdown.
SPEAKER_01They cannot stop fucking crying.
SPEAKER_03Roger Weeks is triggered.
SPEAKER_01It's I think very beautiful and also really sad. Sad. But kind of gorgeous. Yeah, kind of like my life. But really gorgeous and I think worth watching. It's such a beautiful. Sorry.
SPEAKER_02That's the TikTok.
SPEAKER_01What is that? That's the TikTok?
SPEAKER_03No, that's the intro to Gorgeous by Taylor Swift.
SPEAKER_04Gorgeous. And it's like gorgeous.
SPEAKER_05Gorgeous. Like a baby. Gorgeous. Kinda. No more music.
SPEAKER_03Oh yeah. I keep saying, because we have like two songs that are looping in a side.
SPEAKER_01I have another one too. I have the Ash one.
SPEAKER_03The Great Divide.
SPEAKER_01No, it's end of August.
SPEAKER_03It's end of August. And no, it's Orbiter. No, it was well, it was for a while, but end of August was the one that everything you see out here will die. Oh, it's a matter of time.
SPEAKER_01Daddy does it's our time.
SPEAKER_03And then um, so it's that song? Yeah. It is Baby Doll by Jamie Miller.
SPEAKER_04Let me make myself clear.
SPEAKER_01If someone's gonna hold me, if someone's gonna turn us into it's someone else. Leave me, baby. The song's gonna be so you've that one. Yeah, and then the Ash one I have is the like you don't have to waste your night. Yeah, that's new. That's like newest. Stop the wedding.
SPEAKER_03And then these songs have been like in our heads. Looping. So then I just like out finally it was just like, no more music.
SPEAKER_01It was the Noah Con that sent us over. It was end of August that sent us over. We were leaving dinner last week, I guess. We couldn't stop singing that one part on the way home, and finally Roger just goes, No more music.
SPEAKER_02No more music.
SPEAKER_01And then when it was the Jamie Miller song, we were just like, No more music. It's so catchy. That's what happens with a really catchy melody. Yes, yes. So congratulations to all of the above.
SPEAKER_03Yes, congratulations to Jamie Miller and my best friend Hailey Warner, who wrote it.
SPEAKER_01Yes, Hailey's icon.
SPEAKER_03If this song, Jamie Miller by Baby Doll, does anything, I hope that it gets people to Hayley Warner.
SPEAKER_01Listen to Haley Warner's music. If you like that song, you will like Haley's music.
SPEAKER_03And specifically, do you think about me?
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Do you think about me?
SPEAKER_03Boom, boom, boom.
SPEAKER_01I wanna know the truth.
SPEAKER_02Uh uh, uh.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Haley is an incredible songwriter. She has written like Hollow by Tori Kelly Kelly, which is like one of my favorite songs, like ever. Yeah. Among other songs. So like Katie Perry's. And all of these incredible artists. And but I, out of everything Haley has written, I really love Do You Think About Me, is like I listen to it all the time.
SPEAKER_01I agree.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_01I I told I used to tell her that all the time that that was like the big one that would get stuck in my head.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. Oh yeah. I told you that story where I got drunk the other night.
SPEAKER_01Oh yeah.
SPEAKER_03And I was like, I'm gonna blow Haley up on TikTok. And I like lip synced the song. And I was like, yeah, this is gonna blow up my friend Haley. She's gonna be huge. And I was like, I woke up in the morning, 20 likes.
SPEAKER_01That's not no one.
SPEAKER_03No, and it's at like 50 likes then.
SPEAKER_01And maybe those people actually went to the show.
SPEAKER_03Good, good, good boy Jamie. Good boy Jamie. Congrats. He's been very supportive of my friend, and I really like him for that. Of course. He has. Of course. Well, that's not always the case with these artists. They don't always like it.
SPEAKER_01But they wrote it together, yeah? Yeah.
SPEAKER_03I remember they had this like writing camp like in the desert, and Haley was like just like so passionate about Jamie. And I just wasn't familiar with him, but I was like, oh, this is cool. This is so cool. And I just remember thinking, like, wow, like she's so into his project. Yeah. She's so inspired.
SPEAKER_01No, she seemed like she seemed everything she's been posting too is very much. You can tell she really believes in him and adores him as a person, which you think.
SPEAKER_03And for a while, she was kind of like taking a break from writing with other people and just focusing on her project because I don't think she was inspired. So I as her friend, I was like, oh my god, I'm so happy that she's inspired to and look at the song. And then all of a sudden, and then it comes out of nowhere.
SPEAKER_01It just takes one song. Yeah. That's literally it. It just makes me so happy for her. Or everyone's just one away. Yeah. But I we're very happy for you guys. And there's nothing better. Deservedly so.
SPEAKER_03There's nothing better. And it's not everyone's like this, but I've never not been like this when my friends are succeeding.
SPEAKER_01Rising tides, raise all ships. When one of us wins, we all win.
SPEAKER_03It just makes me so happy.
SPEAKER_01And there's room for everyone in this industry.
SPEAKER_03There's room for everyone. I really believe that. I agree. There's no reason to, if you have a friend who is doing well and you're just not. Or you probably, by the way, are doing amazing. And you're it's all right.
SPEAKER_01If you feel like you're not.
SPEAKER_03If you feel like you're not, just be like, wow, someone in my world is like doing what I want to do.
SPEAKER_01It means it's orbiting you.
SPEAKER_03It's orbiting you. And you like see it and it feels and then and then it's like more real.
SPEAKER_01Yep. I think it's beautiful.
SPEAKER_03Oh my god.
SPEAKER_01And even when you see people who aren't your friends, when you see other people in the space that you're like that you might be jealous of, and yes, I have this all the time. People that I feel jealous of when I see what they're achieving in maybe in a similar lane as me. Yeah. And I just remember like there is room for all of us when we all have our each distinct things, and it doesn't just because they take that space doesn't mean they're taking it from you. Everyone has their own space to take up.
SPEAKER_03I could not agree more. Thank you. So beautiful. I wish success upon all of us.
SPEAKER_01Retweet. Yeah. May maybe all have it. Yes. Yes.
SPEAKER_03Oh, I have big news. I have huge news. Do I know this? Um I don't know. But are you ready? Heated Rivalry season two went into production today.
SPEAKER_01I think it's been filming for the last couple weeks. Because I saw them on set like a week and a half ago.
SPEAKER_03Okay. Well.
SPEAKER_01But yes, it is in production. Season two of Heated Rivalry is in production currently. Because um, remember Jacob Tierney put out that Jacob. Yeah. Like a week ago. Because he was like, so you leave them alone.
SPEAKER_02So today?
SPEAKER_00You sent me that. And they had already been filming.
SPEAKER_03Today is the first day of filming for heated rivalry, season two. Today.
SPEAKER_01Meanwhile, like a week and a half ago, you sent me Jacob Turney's statement being like, please leave everyone alone on set.
SPEAKER_05That's so horrible.
SPEAKER_01Honestly, if you see people filming Leave people alone.
SPEAKER_03Okay, I'm not gonna lie. I once completely like bombed a scene.
SPEAKER_01What was it?
SPEAKER_03I don't know the movie, but at the time I worked at the Capitol Records building in in Los Angeles, and I had my headphones on, and apparently they were filming a movie starring this actress, uh Dakota Johnson.
SPEAKER_00I'm familiar.
SPEAKER_03And Dakota Johnson was like walking out of the Capitol Records building, and they were filming her like walking out, and like I was like walking into work, and like I noticed that there was like a lot of cameras and things around me, but I was like also really stressed that day and like in my head, and like I heard people yelling at me, like, sir, sir, sir, but I was like, that couldn't possibly be me. I look up and Dakota Johnson is like walking at me like she was like four feet, and she just stopped and she was like looking at me like seriously, girl.
SPEAKER_01And I was like, You're like, Oh, I'm not supposed to be here right now. Yeah, it was humiliating. And they were like, cut, like, cut. You know what? Maybe you saved a really bad scene. Maybe maybe it was about to be really bad. Maybe she wasn't in the zone, and you being there was what they needed.
SPEAKER_03I was like, oh my god, I I felt like I was in Fifty Shades of Grey with her walking towards me like that.
SPEAKER_01Maybe, maybe you were. Maybe that's what they were filming.
SPEAKER_03Honestly, they could have been.
SPEAKER_01But that was an accident. That's a fluke. That's funny.
SPEAKER_03That was a fluke, yeah. And I and I also just wasn't paying attention. So like I think as pedestrians, we need to pay attention to. No texting while walking, please.
SPEAKER_01No text and walk. You can get hurt. Like, if you're a fan, I get it. Okay. Leave people alone.
SPEAKER_03Totally. Meanwhile, like fast forward to me, like, like just like being like, wait, are they filming like heated rivalry over there? I'd be like.
SPEAKER_01Oh, of course. But also like stopping and looking if you see something is one thing, but to have like all your phones out and to be harassing the characters as they're film as they're working, they're at work. They're at work, leave them alone.
SPEAKER_03Leave the cast of heated rivalry alone.
SPEAKER_01Leave them alone. They're at work.
SPEAKER_03Leave them alone. They're on the clock. Yeah, they're on the clock.
SPEAKER_01And so are all those people who are working there and they need to get their job done. Leave them alone.
SPEAKER_03And I need season two.
SPEAKER_01We all do.
SPEAKER_03The world needs season two. You don't have any delays. Don't interrupt the cast, please, on the case.
SPEAKER_01Leave them alone. Don't take away like the joy of making it. Leave it pure.
SPEAKER_03Leave it pure. Leave it respectful.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Don't be crazy.
SPEAKER_03Give people their personal space. Give people space.
SPEAKER_01You guys are weird.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. He needed rivalry fandom turns on us. They're like, we hate you.
SPEAKER_01Oh, how quickly the tables have turned. Yeah. We mean it in all love.
SPEAKER_03We mean it in all love.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Yeah, it's fine. But I am very excited for season two. Anyway, we're back. Yeah, we're back. We just had to talk a little.
SPEAKER_03We went into the gossip tank.
SPEAKER_01We had to gossip a little bit.
SPEAKER_03Okay, so we are gonna put our gossip hours behind paywall. So if you want to subscribe, we're gonna start doing our best on, is it Substack?
SPEAKER_01Um, I can be sub. I think Patreon is what a lot of people use for podcasts. I also want to have a Substack because I love writing.
SPEAKER_03Yes. But we can do videos on there too. You can do video content. Doing our best OnlyFans. It's only $9.99 a month. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01That's gonna be $50 a month. You get one piece of extra content.
SPEAKER_03No, no, you're gonna get two content pillars. Number one being the gossip hour, which is like all of our deleted scenes. All the deleted scenes. And then feedback.
SPEAKER_01All the un Okay. What? Yeah. What? A girl's gotta live!
SPEAKER_05I was just not expecting you to say that. We have great. We do have good feet. You can't see him right now, no free feet.
SPEAKER_03No, no, no, no.
SPEAKER_00I see your little pingland.
SPEAKER_05You gotta pay to see those.
SPEAKER_03That's why we have blankets this episode.
SPEAKER_05I blankets.
SPEAKER_03I love episode three.
SPEAKER_01Remember when we were boring last time?
SPEAKER_03We were so boring, not this episode.
SPEAKER_01Well, it ended up coming together nicely. I think we felt really boring at the moment. This one.
SPEAKER_03I hope the lighting's okay.
SPEAKER_01Oh, it's gonna be dark as hell. No, I think it's gonna be fine. Okay. And you know what? I can always lighten it and post. I'm getting really good at cap cut.
SPEAKER_03Oh, yeah, me too. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01We're both getting like you're better than me, but I've become like very proficient in how to I gotta show you the asset I just made.
SPEAKER_03Oh my god, I can't wait to see it. Yeah, we're an asset team. You can hire us too.
SPEAKER_01You can hire us. We're we can be bought.
SPEAKER_03It's like a whole factory in the world. We do.
SPEAKER_01It's kind of like a content factory. We can be bought.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. I've been kind of slowly building my side business.
SPEAKER_01You have been.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, and it's going well.
SPEAKER_01I know. And it's about to go so well that I get involved.
SPEAKER_03No, it's about to get so well. It's I have to hire you. I'm ready to work. I can't wait to show you some of the assets I've been making lately.
SPEAKER_01I'm so excited to see.
SPEAKER_03Oh, we can show and tell.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I only have one, so mine's gonna be quick. Okay, cool. Mine's gonna be quick. Cool. But but I can't wait to see.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I can't wait to show you.
SPEAKER_01And Spider-Man on the back. Huh? Spider-Man in the background. Spider-Man. Still haven't seen Spider-Man. We were supposed to go yesterday, ended up getting derailed.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_01And we also have to watch that other show. What's it called? Spoiler spoiler point? Sterling point?
SPEAKER_03Springler.
SPEAKER_00Springler? Sprinkler point? What's it called, Springer Point? Springler? What's it called? Springer Point. Springer Point.
SPEAKER_03Hey, I have something to tell you guys. My song Chaos comes out on Friday.
SPEAKER_01Woo! Stream it. I thought you were about to say this episode is brought to you by.
SPEAKER_03Hi everyone. My name's Roger, and this episode is brought to you by it could be you. You could have filled that space. We were just giving you a taste of what that would have sounded felt like to sponsor us. Sponsor us. We just had our first viral post.
SPEAKER_05We did today. So you want to get on board quick. You want to get in on the ground floor.
SPEAKER_03We're currently looking for someone to give us a free coffee maker. So if that's you.
SPEAKER_01If that's you, what else are we looking for? What else do we need?
SPEAKER_03Okay, that's a great.
SPEAKER_01This is good. This is what's manifest. Again, I'm getting better. I'm doing my best to speak things into existence.
SPEAKER_03Okay, well, you you wanna really tell you what I need? Yes. Gear. I need music gear specifically from like Roland.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, we'd love some gear.
SPEAKER_03Like a like a really nice keyboard that I can bring on tour and also record with.
SPEAKER_01Can someone give us a new microphone too?
SPEAKER_03New microphone. We need a third for guests. We need another, we need two SM7B mics, so sure. Hello.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, sure.
SPEAKER_03Um say hi. I want a Roland uh keyboard. What do you want?
SPEAKER_00I'd like a car.
SPEAKER_03Say it louder.
SPEAKER_00I'd like a car.
SPEAKER_03Louder.
SPEAKER_01I'd like a car.
SPEAKER_03Okay. And what car are you calling into the pod?
SPEAKER_01I listen, I'm a BMW girl, but I'm open and willing to try and drive and post and blast out just about anyone.
SPEAKER_03So like you're gonna turn into like a car influencer account, basically.
SPEAKER_01I do love cars. So that would be on brand for me. I would for that.
SPEAKER_03Wow.
SPEAKER_01Because my car needs her to go bye-bye.
SPEAKER_03It shattered.
SPEAKER_01My car's trying my car's been trying to die for a long time.
SPEAKER_03It is a BMW, so BMW would be like you'd be saving the story.
SPEAKER_01You could be the hero in your own story. It's not that I don't love my car. I bought her because I loved her. She's just been trying to die ever since.
SPEAKER_03She doesn't want to be here anymore.
SPEAKER_01She doesn't want to be here anymore. And you know what? BMW doesn't even make her anymore.
SPEAKER_03She knows that all of her siblings have been discontinued.
SPEAKER_01She knows that they're not making any new ones. And she's like, well, I'm done too. She's the last of her kind. Of her species. Of her species. And she's trying to go.
SPEAKER_03Oh, okay. BMW. Really sad.
SPEAKER_01Really sad. Um, yeah. I love that. I like the M. Okay. Well. VM series is very nice.
SPEAKER_03You're asking for a car. Yeah. I'm gonna ask for a car too.
SPEAKER_01Get that ribbon.
SPEAKER_03I want a car. I want a ribbon.
SPEAKER_01Oh, by the way, I'd also take a Jeep. We love Jeep. And I kind of want that more.
SPEAKER_03Um, if you are giving me a free car, I don't care what kind it is.
SPEAKER_01By the way, I'm open and I could be persuade in pretty much any way.
SPEAKER_03Are you giving me a car? I don't care what kind it is. I'll drive it.
SPEAKER_01Drive it.
SPEAKER_03If it has car plate, I don't care what kind of cover it is.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I'm kind of open. So, anyway, this is your space. This is your odd space that you could be looking at this.
SPEAKER_03Hi, I'm Roger.
SPEAKER_01I'm Normay.
SPEAKER_03And you're watching Doing Our Best.
SPEAKER_01Today's episode is brought to you by our partners.
SPEAKER_03This could be you.
SPEAKER_00And boy, do we just love our car. I love my car.
SPEAKER_01It's got the best car play function of any car on the market.
SPEAKER_03And I love my coffee maker from.
SPEAKER_01Boy, does it have so many good features? It even has Dcaf. Wow.
SPEAKER_03I love this coffee maker. I never shut up about it.
SPEAKER_01I never shut up about it for my favorite company.
SPEAKER_05This could be you. Zoobie Zooby Zoob. Zooby Zooby.
SPEAKER_03Oh, if you're weed company, you can sponsor us.
SPEAKER_01No, thank you. I don't get anything out of that.
SPEAKER_03I mean, girl, but you'll get the money.
SPEAKER_01That's true. I can be bought. Yeah. I won't use your product, but I will uh sell it.
SPEAKER_03Yes, yes. Well, you just let me sell it. Yeah. Just sit there and I'll like and I'll sell it.
SPEAKER_01Yes, yes. Yeah, that's fine. Yeah. I'm interested in that. Yeah. Literally whoever. We'd we'd like to. Alcohol sponsor. Yeah, it also doesn't really help me, but wine I would take.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, you you like an occasional drink. You'd have a drink on the pod.
SPEAKER_01Um, only if it's gin.
SPEAKER_03Oh. I love GTs. When we have Rose on, she'll make us GTs.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I don't like gin.
SPEAKER_03Oh, well.
SPEAKER_01I just like gin martinis.
SPEAKER_03I'm sure she'll make us that too.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, that's the only like cocktail I like.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_01I don't really drink liquor other than that. But I like wine. Wine! Wine!
SPEAKER_03Did you hear that the that Brooklyn Vegan was acquired by I did hear. Did you hear that Brooklyn Vegan was acquired by Live Nation? And Good Charlotte? Yes. And then they fired everyone. And then they fired. What do you think about that?
SPEAKER_01Comments are open. Comments are open. Um, I don't feel good about it.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I don't either.
SPEAKER_01I don't like it.
SPEAKER_03I mean, we're talking about Brooklyn Vegan that they're turning into like a ticketing platform, basically. I know. And like a merch. Do they need that? They're just like making it, it's just and it's just late stage capitalism, you know. So everything's becoming homogenous and the same. And it's like we need we need blogs. We need music right now.
SPEAKER_01I know, I know. We need music journalism and blogs to break indie artists and to tell people where to go for cool indie shows that are not the ones that are being blasted out by all the majors.
SPEAKER_03And then we also like need artists to support artists as well.
SPEAKER_01Yep.
SPEAKER_03So you know.
SPEAKER_01Yay.
SPEAKER_03Yay.
SPEAKER_01And then they come and then they go.
SPEAKER_03And they come and then they go, ooh.
SPEAKER_01Every writer, I think, has like, or or artists has, I think, their phrase that they often like, yeah, kind of a vocal stim tick when they're writing. That when you're just kind of free-flowing words, if you have a melody that you like or you're trying to figure out a melody that you like, there's always a phrase or a few words that often come back. Then you come and then you go. And Rogers is, and then you come and then you go.
SPEAKER_03And I we still haven't really made it into a song.
SPEAKER_01Well, because it was always just like a good placeholder and funny. I'm like, and then you come and then you go.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, I know that's what it was always. It was always like, and then you come and then you go. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01And it always laughs so hard.
SPEAKER_04It was always good. And then you come and then you go.
SPEAKER_03I kind of like that.
SPEAKER_04And then you come and then you go. Uh-oh. It's like uh you so freaking old.
SPEAKER_01See, you never know where it's gonna take you, and that's why songwriting is so fun. And the autumn leaves. That was also a big one. That was also a big one for you that you come back to. I don't have as many ticks. Mine are always just like so. Autumn leaves and then and then you come and then you go. We're the two that were here.
SPEAKER_03The two songs that I need to write. Both of them sound on brand.
SPEAKER_01Autumn leaves, so Roger Wee. So Roger Weak. Is there an Edge Erin song called Autumn Leaves?
SPEAKER_03Well, now that I have my MIDI keyboard.
SPEAKER_04And then you come and then you go.
SPEAKER_03No, that was very Taylor.
SPEAKER_04And then you come and then you go.
unknownOw. Okay.
SPEAKER_03I just heard myself with the microphone.
SPEAKER_01Sometimes it's silly just to like be whiny.
SPEAKER_03Be a human. Like be a big baby.
SPEAKER_01I was saying this to G yesterday when we were in the in the pool. Yeah. And I was like it was nice. And I was like talking about, we were talking about somebody who's super negative. I don't remember who we were even talking about. Someone who's super negative. And I was saying how that's so not attractive, but we sometimes are negative, but in a funny, bratty way, whiny way. And sometimes it's funny to just be like, uh life is so hard. Yeah. And maybe no one else makes it funny, but I do. Promoting music is so hard. Promoting music is hard. I will say I feel like I've I feel like I've cracked a little bit of a new code on Chaos out Friday. Chaos out Friday. I feel like I've cracked a little bit of a new code on the social. Go ahead.
SPEAKER_00The cord was like wrapped around the pillow's neck.
SPEAKER_01Choking out the pillow.
SPEAKER_03That was like drowning on the box.
SPEAKER_01Um yeah, I feel like I've come up with a little bit of a of a new hook. Hook of sharing some pieces of advice or insight that I kind of got from my last relationship that inspired my album, and also just life and all the things I've learned as being, you know, an adult now. It's providing that value of adding uh some advice or like insight.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, that was like an aha moment. Yeah. Right, because it's like I think what's important when you're promoting music is like because there's so much music out there. What is something you can communicate to the audience that's like, this is my song, it's going to help you. Yeah. Here's why you should care. Here's why you should care.
SPEAKER_01What's the value add? And that's what I keep seeing on a lot of people who are, you know, giving advice by like, oh, you know, I've been posting for X amount of you know, months, years every day. Here's what I've learned. And I feel like a lot of it is stop, you know, begging people to care and just start adding value, uh give them a reason to care. And that I feel like I can add value in that way where I have a lot that I've learned from these relationships that I feel like I can impart on other people and also other people can just relate to. And so that can be my value ass my value add. I'm uh that can be my asset.
SPEAKER_04Anyway. Anyway.
SPEAKER_01That's something I've been trying.
SPEAKER_04And then they come and then they go. And the autumn leaves. They come and then they go.
SPEAKER_01They really do.
SPEAKER_03It could be the lyric.
SPEAKER_01Amen.
SPEAKER_03And that's the end of the song.
SPEAKER_01And that's I think the end of the pod. What? Oh. Did you add more?
unknownWe're done.
SPEAKER_01We have to be done. So if I put on Spider-Man, you're not gonna watch any of it.
SPEAKER_03You know, we'll see where I'm at. I'm totally open to it. Just not immediately after this. Because I have I have to do some stuff before I am completely exhausted and die. Well, not die, but for the day. Yeah. You know?
SPEAKER_01We're never gonna see a new Spider-Man. I'm never gonna get to see Spider-Man because my friends won't watch the other ones. I'm never gonna get to go watch Spider-Man. My friends won't watch it.
SPEAKER_03They will watch it tomorrow. Like, we could watch it tonight for sure, but I just like I'm never gonna get to see Spider-Man. Okay, Tom Holland is hot. I have a crush on him.
SPEAKER_01See, don't you want to watch Spider-Man?
SPEAKER_03I do want to watch Spider-Man. Everyone's seen Spider-Man besides me and you.
SPEAKER_01I know.
SPEAKER_03We haven't talked about off campus yet. That's crazy.
SPEAKER_01Today?
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_01I know. Well, you know, what what what else is there to say? I oh, I actually here's what I could say about it. I did start reading it.
SPEAKER_03You started reading off campus.
SPEAKER_01I started reading it because I really want to know what happens in the next few seasons so that we can write songs for him.
SPEAKER_03We want we our dream was to get our music in off campus and he did rivalry.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Boy, did they change so much.
SPEAKER_03Really?
SPEAKER_01So much. Justin is on the football team.
SPEAKER_03Football? So they changed it from football to being a musician. Whoa.
SPEAKER_01And she is not a classical major. She likes starts, she's she's writing music from the beginning.
SPEAKER_03So does she write with Dustin?
SPEAKER_01No, because he's a football player. He's not involved. He's not involved. Like it's a thinner, like the the plot is thinner in the book.
SPEAKER_03You like the plot in the show better?
SPEAKER_01Much better. I like what they chose to do. It's obviously hard. So when you read the show or when you see the show first, I'm sure it's different. If I had read the book first, maybe I would have been so attached to those characters the way that they were that then I would have been like, oh, why'd they make all these changes? I like it better. Having seen the show first, now reading the book, I really prefer what they did in the show. I think it makes it a lot more. I think it makes it make more sense. I think it makes it more fun and more relatable. And yeah, it just it makes it. I mean, listen, the show is silly, but it makes it kind of more realistic, I guess. Right.
SPEAKER_03Wow. I'm I think I'm really glad that like you're reading it. So like you can just tell me. Yeah, I can tell you what happens. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01I haven't, I'm obviously excited to get to uh you fly by in the books, the breeze through them. So I'm I'm almost done with the first one. I've been reading it for a couple days, but I then I'm gonna read the Dean and Allie book, so I'll know what happens in season two.
SPEAKER_03Okay, I love Dean and Allie. Like, I'm kind of becoming more and more obsessed with with with both of them as with every passing day. Like, I'm totally like in their story.
SPEAKER_01I I can't it's rare that you strike gold with just casting such a great cast where I think everyone is genuinely so excited for season two, knowing that it's a different couple like featured couple than season one. And that doesn't usually happen. Usually people get so attached to the one from season season one that they're like, oh, I don't want to buy into this other couple. I'm attached to these two. They did such a good job of really making this an ensemble show that you care about the other characters.
SPEAKER_06Yes.
SPEAKER_01Like I want to see what happens with you know John Logan and and and Grace. I don't even know who Grace is yet. I just got that, I just know that that's his story. T. T. I just know that that's his story, and I saw that was casting news. So I'm excited about everyone else.
SPEAKER_03We're all gonna know Grace.
SPEAKER_01We're all gonna know Grace. I'm excited to see Grace is gonna be huge. She's gonna be massive. I can't wait to see what happens with the other characters, which just a credit to the fact that they did such a good job of highlighting everyone enough for you made you care about them, and that the characters are likable. They're just all likable. Well done.
SPEAKER_03Well done, Amazon.
SPEAKER_01Bravo!
SPEAKER_03Yeah, brava. What I'm most excited for in like our podcasting realm is like the next season of Heated Rivalry and the next season of Off Campus when we can watch it and pot it at the same time.
SPEAKER_01I know. Again, heated rivalry would be great because it's episodic, and I think that they should do that for season two of off campus. I knew you said that last week. I think uh it still stands. And now we have Sterling Point that we have to watch.
SPEAKER_03Oh a god, yeah.
SPEAKER_01Which feels like required reading because or required viewing because everyone's girlies, yeah. You have to be in the zeitgeist.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_01And people are talking about it.
SPEAKER_03Coming up and doing our best pod.
SPEAKER_01Next week, by the next time that we are filming this podcast, I believe.
SPEAKER_03I'll tell you what you think.
SPEAKER_01Um, okay. Now I feel now I feel we've done it. We gotta go. Now I feel we've done it.
SPEAKER_03Okay.
SPEAKER_01Thanks for being here. Thanks for being our besties.
SPEAKER_03And thank you for liking and subscribing and supporting us. It means the world.
SPEAKER_01It means the world. Um, we'll see you next week. See you next week. Bye. Be well. Be smart.
SPEAKER_03Be good. Be smart. Make good decisions and treat people with kindness.
SPEAKER_01Treat people with kindness. Yeah. Treat people the way you want to be treated. It's the golden rule. Golden rule.
SPEAKER_03Period.
SPEAKER_01That was really good that they taught us that golden rule, by the way. Yeah. Just as an aside. Like as the last thing I want to say. Golden rule. It works. Works.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Anyway. Bye. Bye.
